Hal and Max breakdown the Dragon Clan cards from the Tears of Amaterasu Dynasty Pack. If you have been enjoying the Legend of the Five Rings LCG Core Set, expansions are an excellent way to dive deeper into the game. We highly recommend them!
Picking up a Dynasty Pack is a great way to expand your collection and create new deckbuilding options for each clan. If these cards appear interesting and you’re considering picking up a copy of Tears of Amaterasu, keep in mind these cards will no longer be legal for competitive play when the first Dynasty Pack of the seventh cycle releases. Once this new pack comes out the game will undergo its first ‘rotation’ in which the first two cycles of Dynasty Packs (the Imperial Cycle and the Elemental Cycle) will rotate out of the game's competitive environment. This will likely occur in roughly a year's time from the release date of this video, as the game is just beginning its fifth cycle.
For both competitive and casual players, this expansion could be a great addition to your L5R collection! Many retailers have sales on packs from the first cycle so you should be able to find a good deal on this pack. This could allow you to add a number of fun and exciting new cards to your collection at a reduced price.

Card Times:
Kitsuki Yaruma: 0:19 - 9:56
Jade Masterpiece: 10:04 - 15:57
Video Notes:
1:47 - Hal states Kitsuki Yaruma's statline is exactly the same as the Asahina Artisan. He accidentally said the wrong Asahina card, he actually meant the statline is the same as the Asahina Storyteller (the 4 cost Crane Dynasty character from the Core Set).
5:01 - While Mirumoto's Fury remains on the restricted list, Let Go has been removed (or was never on it) thus making both eligible to be played in the same deck.
7:02 - Restoration of Balance (the Dragon Province from the Core Set) was actually deemed too strong and the card received errata. Due to the strength and prevalence of the strategy of bidding 5 on the honor dial during the draw phase, players often have large hands of cards and Restoration of Balance was appropriately deemed too punitive. The updated card text is no longer a when revealed ability, rather the effect triggers when your opponent breaks the province. Further, while in the video Max notes Restoration of Balance's province strength of 3 is a bit weaker, having played the game more since this video was recorded, even with the errata the province is actually quite strong as the ability to potentially significantly reduce your opponent's conflict hand is not to be scoffed at.
10:47 - The Dragon Clan stronghold from the Core Set is not Dragon Anvil Castle but rather Mountain's Anvil Castle. Further, Mountain's Anvil Castle would only come online for a plus 2 to a character's military and political skills if that character already had another attachment on it prior to the Jade Masterpiece being added. The first attachment added to a character will only put the Castle online for a plus 1 boost to the character's military and political skills.
