Made as part of my final project for my postgraduate degree in Masters of Design (MDes) Visual Communication (Animation) at the University of Derby.
"As a scientist I'm thrilled by natural selection, but as a human being I abhor it as a principle for organising society" -- Richard Dawkins
This quote was the initial inspiration for this animation, a polemic which critiques the free market.
The free market is an economic theory claiming markets function best when left to regulate themselves with little to no government involvement. In an ideal free market there are no public services. Utilities, education, healthcare and even law are run by private businesses for profit. This animation reveals how the UK Coalition Governments assault on Britain's public services is based on a flawed and cruel theory.
