Reciting the Litany (Wird) of Imam an-Nawawi after sunrise and sunset once protects one:
- from the evil of humans and jinn who dwell in the heavens in the earth
- from the influence of those whose function it is to cause corruption of one's internal state
- from the plots of those who perform outward corruption in all aspects of black magic, sorcery and other such things
