Gospel Church Kayaking Trip 2024

Essential Information for Participants Traveling from Gdańsk, Poland:
1. Train Fare:
- The cost for a one-way train ticket from Gdańsk Wrzeszcz to Kiełpino Kartuskie is 12 PLN. A round trip will cost 24 PLN. Tickets can also be purchased on your phone if you are familiar with the process.
2. Food and Water:
- Bring your own lunch, including sandwiches, chips, cookies, etc. Ensure you have enough drinking water for approximately 5 hours of outdoor activity.
3. Waterproof Bag:
- Carry a waterproof or zip-lock bag for personal items such as your phone and wallet.
4. Rain Gear:
- Bring a poncho in case of rain. Ponchos are available at stores like Rossmann or Decathlon. Alternatively, you can use a large trash bag. Don't forget to bring a cap.
5. Minimize Personal Belongings:
- Kayaks have limited space. Only bring essentials, as everything you bring will need to fit in your kayak unless you arrive by car and can leave items in your vehicle.
6. Additional Essentials:
- Bring a small amount of toilet paper, a cap, sunscreen, and wear old shoes suitable for water activities, flip flops, or sandals. Wear clothes that can get wet and dry quickly, and bring a change of dry clothes (T-shirt, shorts, and a sweater) in case you get wet. Pack everything in plastic grocery or trash bags to keep items dry. Additionally, you can bring a large trash bag to protect your bag from water drops in the kayak.
7. Post-Trip Snacks:
- There is a bar at the kayak center offering snacks such as fries, hot dogs, ice cream, and drinks. It's uncertain if they accept card payments, so it's advisable to bring some cash.
