With so much to see in Tallinn I decided to start my walking tour in the Old Town.
The Estonian Maritime Museum, which is inside the 'Fat Margaret' tower was an interesting look at the history of the port and trade over hundreds of years.
The views from the terrace above Fat Margaret were great, albeit very cold.
The gate alongside the tower, the Coastal Gate was the main entry point to the old town, when at that time the entire city was protected by a series of medieval defensive walls originally built in the mid 1200's.
Quite easy to spend a few hours looking at the exhibits on all the levels inside the tower.
