Dr Leah Edwards lead this discussion on what human trafficking looks like in the context of the war in Ukraine. Dr Leah also reviewed the types of trafficking and vulnerabilities that lead to trafficking, the risks that are involved in the refugee response and how to continue to strengthen and build our capacities to protect ourselves and others from trafficking.

Dr Leah Edwards is the Monitoring, Learning, Evaluation and Research Officer on the Operations Team of The European Freedom Network. Dr Edwards also works with The Global Learning Community project, which is a part of Chab Dai, UK in an MEL role. Through both global anti-trafficking networks, Dr Edwards provides consulting, training, and capacity building support to grassroots anti-trafficking organisations in Europe, The Middle East and Southeast Asia. Prior to her work in the anti-trafficking, Dr Edwards worked in Haiti and Jordan in the humanitarian sector. Dr Edwards is based in The Hague, Netherlands.
