Meet our voice from the United States - a country which has a huge problem with food waste and waste in general. Annually, food waste is estimated at between 30-40% of the food supply. Food is lost or wasted for a variety of reasons, amongst others fluctuating weather conditions which are becoming more and more common due to climate change. Consumers and consumer behavior also play an important role in food waste. According to Alex, wasting less food and other goods will result in a smaller individual carbon footprint and thereby contribute to fighting climate change.
"100 Voices - One Planet" (100VOP) is a video project by eleven international students from the Technical University in Munich. By collecting voices on the impacts of climate change from all around the planet, we aim for more inclusive and ambitious international climate actions.
