A very special day here at Badgerworks - the completion of the first in a series of commissions for a heritage display at an active RAF airbase. I'll not go into any more detail than that, as they'll be doing some press when it all goes live and I don't want to spoil the surprise.
We've built the Airfix 1/72 scale C47 Skytrain, with a livery based loosely on the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's C47, complete with a couple of paratroopers. Turns out British parachuting technique was different from the US, and this is reflected in the position of the static line anchor, the static lines themselves and other details. The RAF decals came from Hannants.
It's particularly poignant to upload this today, the 75th anniversary of the D Day landings.
