The gathering becomes significance against the backdrop of negotiations on Opposition unity, a deal reached by many political parties to collectively combat the BJP-led NDA. Nitish Kumar, Lalu Prasad Yadav, and Tejashwi Yadav are travelling to Delhi to take part in a rally commemorating the birth anniversary of Devi Lal, the founder of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). INLD leader OP Chautala is in charge of organising the event at Fatehabad, Haryana.
