Russia's "James Bond" Deported From Chad | Firstpost Africa
While the West, especially France, struggles to maintain its influence in Africa, Russia assigned the job to its very own "James Bond". Maxim Shugalei, the subject of several Russian action films, has been expanding Moscow's influence across several African countries. Shugalei however calls himself a political sociologist who heads a public relations sanctioned by the U.S. But his biggest client is said to be the Kremlin. Shugalei has reportedly been working with the Wagner group over the years to expand Russia's influence. Now, the Russian operative seems to have overstepped his mark during his propaganda mission.
