Following Mizo National Front (MNF) debacle in the assembly polls, outgoing Mizoram CM Zoramthang admitted defeat and tendered his resignation Monday. 'I lost of because of the 'anti-incumbency effect', he added, 'People were aggrieved and not satisfied with my performance during the Covid crisis. I have accepted the verdict of the people and I hope the next government will perform well.'
