Video of Avro Lancaster PA474 as she taxied, held and then took off from Southend Airport on Sunday 14th August 2016 bound for Eastbourne and their annual airshow. Note the crewmember looking out of the hatch just forward of the upper turret. Fantastic noise from the four Merlin engines as the crew power them up and I am surprised at how quickly the tail lifts as she moves down the runway.
