All the hoppers are custom designed and built using primarily cardstock. I also used basswood strips for the ribs and some of the newest ones have laser-cut styrene brackets for the indented ends. The loads are custom castings using plastic resin.

The train models a daily Florida East Coast unit train (#336) that runs up the Florida coast from Medley quarries (Miami) to Cemex rock yard at City point, near Cape Canaveral. The normal unit train runs around 100-130 cars.
