Aug 6, 2019. Achinsk, Russia. Huge fire balls followed by delayed sonic booms were caught on camera in Siberia after a fire at a Russia military storage base. The blast was at an ammunition dump at the base, which is six miles from Achinsk, a closed military town in the Krasnoyarsk region of Siberia.
One person was killed and at least 8 more were injured when the fire triggered huge explosions that sent shrapnel flying. Around 6,000 residents in the Krasnoyarsk region in eastern Siberia were evacuated as authorities declared a state of emergency.
The cause of the blast is still under investigation, but ammunition depot explosions are not unusual in Russia.
