Stuart and Mickey investigate an arson attack on the home of an alcoholic, which resulted in his death – but when Stuart interviews a possible witness, Heaton is furious to learn that it is none other than psychopathic gangster and former colleague Ray Moore – an ex-copper turned villain who has plagued his career ever since leaving the force. However, a post-mortem examination reveals that the deceased is not the man Stuart and Mickey first thought.
