I haven't done a longer compilation like this for the week after Fourth of July, so I decided to do one for 2021! I found a few trucks I wasn't expecting to see at all. There's a lot of backstory to the clips, so read the timestamps below if interested. Enjoy!
0:00-0:05 // Introduction - Jose driving down my street the Saturday after Fourth of July in 2815, a spare for 2811 since 2811 broke down that morning.
0:06-2:11 // 1302 - Jaime and Andres collecting an apartment stop and a temporary residential dumpster in my neighborhood. They combined Monday and Tuesday stops on Tuesday and then combined Tuesday and Wednesday stops on Wednesday to basically be caught up by Thursday and Friday. The 1st clip was actually taken at 5:19 PM on a Tuesday since the Monday stops are usually the heaviest of the week. They also collect that dumpster on Thursdays, which was done on schedule the 2nd time since they caught up.
2:12- 7:16 // 1336 - Sam in 1 of Anaheim's brand new 2021 Pete 520 Heil CNrG Front Loaders! I was completely surprised to see this on the manual route, and it was also cool to see a helper with him. Comment the error on this truck if you spot it lol. Thanks to Sam for being 1 of the coolest drivers I've met. I hope you found the video!
7:17-7:42 // 2476 - Rafael servicing the dumpster at the place where I work out. Funny story behind this clip. I was finishing a workout when I heard something that sounded like a garbage truck outside. My trainer said that he waves to the driver when he comes, so we went out once I finished, and turns out it was a driver I've known about since I was little! His normal truck is 2037, so it was cool to see him in an older LNG Autocar ACX McNeilus.
7:43-8:45 // 2714 - Alvardo collecting recycle in the Fullerton side of my neighborhood. I saw him 2 years ago on this route in 2708, but I originally thought he was just subbing since he used to be a Brea driver, and 2708's original driver didn't like filming. Eventually, though, he took the route for good when the driver retired and got 2714 as his normal truck when that truck became. The other residential trucks for the Fullerton side of my neighborhood are now ex-Anaheim 2012 CNG ACX Rapid Rails, so I didn't bother looking for them.
8:46-10:03 // 2788 - I found Eduardo in his Monday afternoon route, so I grabbed a couple clips.
10:04-13:16 // 2811 - Jose doing Arovista, the 1st neighborhood of his Friday route, on the Saturday after Independence Day. I always enjoy watching him in 2811, so I grabbed some clips early in the morning while the weather wasn't too warm.
13:17-17:47 // 2815 - Jose collecting yard waste in my neighborhood on the Saturday after Fourth of July. 2811 broke down, so he switched trucks. This is the 1st time I've seen him do his Friday route in 3 loads, but yard waste waste was really heavy that day.
17:48-17:54 // Conclusion - A photo my mom got for me of 1312, Brea and Fullerton's commercial recycle truck, collecting commercial recycle in Villa Park the Saturday before Independence Day. I didn't know the driver also did Villa Park, so that's cool.
