Picard’s familiar foe Q launches the Enterprise into the Delta Quadrant where the crew first encounters the most malevolent species of the series: The Borg. In this episode we are also given a hint as to Guinan’s (Whoopi Goldberg) relationship to Q and her experience with the cybernetic life forms.
