A Career Roadmap will help you plan your next career move and decide which career skills to focus on. It will also help you save time in your job search by giving you a filter through which you can search for jobs to apply for and whether or not to accept job offers.

Without a Career Roadmap, it's easy to not challenge yourself and stay in a job for too long. When you stay in a job for too long, you risk becoming stagnant, and this will make your next job search difficult because you might lack important skills and experience.
