In their first proposal to the players, Major League Baseball offered to institute a $100 million salary floor in addition to lowering the luxury tax to $180 million. The proposal will ultimately be shut down, but the guys debate the ideas within it, namely whether the floor is an effective way of creating balance within the MLB and the potential effect changing the luxury tax could have on the league's players. Mike and Nick think the floor is a good first step, but instead of these arbitrary numbers, Ryan thinks the solution here may come down to owners seeing the league as more than just a business in the first place.
