In this video, we’ll look at the centuries-old tradition of La Cabalgata, or "The parade." La Cabalgata is a Christmas Spanish tradition, when the whole city celebrates the Day of the Three Magical Kings, who brought gifts to Jesus Christ, coming to the light of the star, on the eve of his birthday. They are kings who bring gifts and sweets to Spanish children under the Christmas tree, in their boots, or at the bedside. On the eve of King's Day - 5 of January, the whole city is celebrating - it looks like procession on the main street with local teams, including a bank, a basketball team, gymnasts and a post office with mysic, all dressed up as popular cartoon and movie characters. At the end of the procession, there are three kings (wise men), and everyone scatters candy to children and adults who have come to enjoy this event.
