My my, it's been a while huh? Hello wonderful people, let's rock 'n' roll!
Keep in mind that even though I'm not uploading shows more regularly, I still haven't satisfied my uploads hunger (Odd way to describe that I like to upload things...) and I'll never really stop, just take breaks
Movin' on, I was thinking about how there's only ONE '73 upload on my channel? Even though it's not my favourite tour some shows need to be uploaded and talked about! (Even though, this ain't one :P hahaha)
Well, I can't say that, Milwaukee, July 10th, deserves its topic; The thing with this one is that it's not a great '73 show (MSG, Mobile), or a bad '73 show (Chicago, Sheffield), it's just a regular '73 show; Percy's voice starts awful, but improves a whole bunch during the gig (Listen to Rock And Roll and then skip to Stairway to Heaven, it's surprising they happened at the same night!);
Everything before the Misty Mountain Hop performance can be described with this: ''Meh'' hahaha; Don't forget I'm talking about Percy only; As for most '73 shows, Percy was bad while Jonesy, Jimmy and Bonzo were amazing!
Celebration Day, it's amazing, features NO higher notes, of course there aren't any vocal cracks, but no high notes either; Same thing with Over the Hill and Far Away, even though, gotta say, the instrumental by the ''Three musketeers of rock and roll'' (Jimmy, Bonzo and Jonesy, just so I won't write their names more than 2 times :S) compesates for Percy's weak performance
As for after the Misty Mountain Hop performance, it's up hill from there; Percy's voice improves a LOT, delivering amazing ad-libbing on SIBLY (As I gently call Since I've Been Loving You - After his singing people applause him! Go Percy!)
There have been better versions of No Quarter, but this one is good; The Song Remains the Same is surprisingly very nice, he always (Let's say often) had problems singing it (Pay attention to Jonesy, even though the recording gets in the way; His lines are quick and just, you know, right!)
Since it's been awhile I haven't uploaded a Zepp show, I've forgot how they could stretch up the performance of Dazed And Confused hahaha; I'll be honest with you guys, at this one I just got bored! Sorry, usually I just love those jams they do, especially the San Francisco segment, but half an hour just got me sleepy :S (Still, if you like those long versions, it's a great one)
After Stairway to Heaven I woke up a bit, it's a very good version, the crowd loved it!
This recording is incomplete, so it goes only until Moby Dick, and even Moby is cut, well, still very nice to hear Bonzo at his best!
Enjoy folks!
*Since it's an audience recording, it's VERY noticeable the talking of a couple who seemed to have loved the gig! They talk random shit, applause a lot, tell people to shut up during Jimmy's violin bow solo, this upload is for them!
