The history of the Bōsōzoku is one of tragedy. From it's origination post world war 2, to its gang-related influence in the next generation of teens in the 70s & 80s. What started as an outburst and cry for help quickly turned into a group of individuals that was shunned by the community. The need for expression in the Bōsōzoku reminds me somewhat of the recent surge in street takeovers which does beg the question, are they booth rooted in the same plead for attention? Let me know your thoughts below!
