This webinar will explain the role of Long Arm Supervision (LAS) and how it is providing students with opportunities to have placements in Role Emerging Placements (REP).

The long-arm supervision model has and will re-establish students’ opportunities to undertake innovative placements extending beyond the NHS, which promote vital alternative skill sets across diverse cultural and situational backgrounds

The health and social care contexts are rapidly changing in England.
Government drives towards well-being, health promotion, reducing inequalities, sustainability, active ageing, integrated services, primary and community care
means an increasing move for our health and social care away from medically orientated organisations and towards community based, co-ordinated, independent and voluntary services that focus on health promotion, well-being and function.

This change means that our students must also develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to work in these key areas in order to remain viable as future professionals.
