Union Home Minister Amit Shah exuded confidence on Thursday, asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would clinch his third consecutive term in the upcoming general elections. Shah went on to claim that the opposition Congress party would face difficulties in maintaining its current seat count in the Lok Sabha. Addressing a public gathering, Shah shared his perspective after personally distributing 44,703 appointment letters to successful candidates for Assam government jobs. The seasoned BJP leader accused the Congress of harbouring a "negative attitude" and criticised their decision to boycott the scheduled inauguration of the new Parliament building, alleging political maneauvering on their part.
