Novawing24 climbs aboard an iconic Argentinian aircraft the FMA IA58 Pucará and puts it through its paces in an in-depth review.

Desgined to fulfil a requirment much the same as the vaunted A-10 Thunderbolt, the Pucará or "Fortress" was pitched as a more affordable but just as lethal alternative when fighting low and slow. Offering a large weapons capability along with armoured survivability, the British were concerned knowing they would be facing them in combat during the Falklands War. After the war following an in-depth series of flight and mock combat tests, it was determined that while still lethal in the hands of a skilled pilot, it was not the threat it had been assumed to be.

Seasoned developer Aeroplane Heaven have used the Pucará as the flagship of their new range of aircraft they have dubbed the CtrlEzy range. Offering an almost irresistible price point along with PBR texturing, they seek to offer a great virtual experience without requiring the user to know every switch position just to get an engine started.
