In this video we look at all the steps to flash firmware to FrSky's modern receivers. This covers the X series and newer, including Archer and R9. In fact, any receiver that has a SmartPort connection, or can use over the air (OTA) updates.
First we look at the firmware options. We look at picking the right firmware for your receiver, where to download it, and bust the myth about ACCST versions 1 and 2. You know, the one that it will stop D8 working if you have it currently.
After that, we look at how to get the firmware on to your transmitter. Followed by the flashing process for both OpenTX and ETHOS.
By the end of this video, you should be able to flash any current FrSky receiver, as well as some older ones.
Apologies for the HD version not being available yet. YouTube has been processing it for almost 3 hours (started around 3pm GMT). Hopefully it will be ready for you all soon.
