Experts from Kessler Foundation and the University of New Hampshire discussed what they have learned about workplace practices from a different perspective - supervisors of employees with disabilities.This survey was administered to more than 3,000 supervisors who responded on their experiences in the workplace relating to hiring, professional development, advancement and provision of accommodations for applicants and employees with and without disabilities. We expect the Kessler Foundation Survey to yield new, actionable information that will inform researchers, grant makers and policymakers, influencing the development of effective strategies that promote long-term, meaningful employment opportunities.This event provided the opportunity for Congressional leaders and representatives of the disability community to learn about the survey’s findings firsthand from the experts at Kessler Foundation and UNH.
