Planinsko Polje is a typical Karst field created by the Unica River. When dry, it is a meadow area with a beautiful meandering river. Farmers graze cattle there in the summer. Seasonally, the whole field floods and becomes a huge intermittent lake. This makes it interesting for photography as the trees are all in the water, creating a unique landscape that looks fantastic. Photographers from all around Slovenia come here to photograph it from an elevated viewpoint, up close, and with a drone. I've photographed it multiple times, but this time, I've added a special twist by shooting from the water itself, in a kayak.
