The driver became wedged between the HGVs after smashing his car into the back of one, near Junction 10 at Bar End, Hampshire (pictured), it is believed. Such was the force of the collision that the man's car was reduced to a quarter of its size, eye-witnesses said. The motorway was closed in both directions following the dramatic triple crash, which reduced the black car to about a metre in length. A red tarpaulin was seen draped over the driver's side of the vehicle after emergency crews were called to the scene at 10.25am today.
