Bulbophyllum medusae has only one spike, but what a display! Mormodia Jumbo World has six spikes at different stages, so flowers will keep blooming all winter on this plant. Clowesia Rebecca Northen has a few flowers open and several more to come. It has a lovely pink color and cinnamon, ginger, lemony fragrance. Dendrochilum tenellum has got dozens of spikes. Black spots and patches on Cattleya maxima might by bacterial soft rot. Cycnoches plants are spiking, with three spikes visible already. I show how I handle Cattleya flasks when I receive them. Seedlings can be mounted from an early age as long as they are watered properly. Cattleya rex has beautiful flowers, but if you are not careful about giving this plant what it needs, it will not survive for long.
