The river Peschanaya sings its endless song. In this song one can hear wild roar of rapids, rollicking polyphony of riffles, and sonorous voices of rifts. Impetuous water of the river washes conglomerations of stones, sandy shoals, here thick talus goes with the stream, there from the headrises plumb bohm.
The Peschanaya canyon is right after Solonovka, a bit higher up the stream. At the end of the canyon Peschanaya is a full-flowing river still with a fast but calm stream. On 20-km the Peschanaya represents almost full cascade of rapids with normal water regime – 3 or 4 category of complexity. In high water times the difficulty of obstacles reaches 5 category. Water touristic competitions are frequent events on the river. It is one of the most popular water routes in Altai Kray.
