First video: Fixing a Leaking Float Valve by replacing the existing washer inside. For old Portsmouth & Croydon type float valves.
Filmed inside a 1950s ABM Parsall cast iron cistern & demonstrated on a standard HP Part 1 float valve. You can also replace all the internal components inside the brass float valve, but that can be difficult and take time if you're unlucky, which is what happened when I last replaced all the parts inside a Part 1 float valve in a loft. With me, I usually recondition them instantly and just swap round when required. Then those float valves get reconditioned and used later on. This is also what my old college tutors used to do when they used to work.
