Denise makes a move in the 1980 Olympic short program to pull up from a 12th place finish in the figures. She would eventually end up 4th, just off the podium. Clearly a precurser of modern ladies skating, she successfully and somewhat stylistically brought Rock and Roll music into her competitive programs.......a vanguard in that effort, and most unusual at the time.
