Multiple forecast models are indicating a historical pressure drop with this upcoming "Bomb Cyclone."
☆TUESDAY NOVEMBER 19th, 2024 - WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 20th☆
Now, while I might snicker at the new and improved terminology ["Bomb Cyclone"], this approaching system certainly warrants the phrase. This has a decent chance of becoming a storm for the history books.
THERE WILL BE: HIGH WINDS 60 - 70 mph, HEAVY RAIN 1-2 ft coastal areas, and Widespread Power Outages up and down the Pacific Northwest Coastal Areas on Tuesday Night and Wednesday November 20th.
DO: Prepare. Tie stuff down, check the gutters and drainage, and make a plan for power outages that could last a day or four. Get fuel. Make sure you're stocked up for food, and have an alternative heat source (that won't hurt you, ie... Carbon Monoxide).
DON'T: Freak out, or panic. We're used to storms here in the PNW; This one might just be a bit stronger than what we're used to!
AND DON'T: Be that person on the videos getting swept out to sea for getting to close! RESPECT THE OCEAN!
