A huge cleanup is underway after heavy rainfall triggered flash flooding in parts of South East Queensland.
Rescue crews have conducted more than 30 rescues as rising floodwaters inundated homes and businesses.
No disaster assistance has been announced by the Queensland government, but Premier Steven Miles says some could be on the way.
Mr Miles and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will meet with SES workers who have helped with the recovery effort after yesterday’s storms.
A severe weather warning for the Wide Bay and Burnett regions, as well as the South East Coast, has been cancelled as a low system moves offshore, meaning the chance of further widespread rain is low.
