Gameplay trailer of Waypoint, the GAME 502 final project from the graduating class of May, 2019. Based on an original concept from Michael Amado, Avani Jain, Marissa Piccinnini and Corina Perron. Over the course of 6 weeks during their final semester at DAVE School, this team of 4 built a semi-open world game from the ground up in Unreal Engine 4. After completing a 36 page design document, and art bible they tracked their project in project management software, and used Perforce as version control for their game. They modeled and textured over 75 assets, including a unique character, added an inventory system, mini-map, an opening and ending cinematic, and even created artificial intelligence scripts for wildlife in the game to have them function more realistically.
