Shailendra Singh, a former Uttar Pradesh DSP, spoke to ANI following the death of Gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari on March 29 due to a cardiac arrest. Shailendra Singh refuted all allegations made by the deceased's family that Ansari was poisoned. Additionally, he claimed that Mukhtar Ansari had a positive experience during his service in a prison in Punjab and asserted that he enjoyed the support of the Congress party.
The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
