This art journal layout uses lots of layers and an autumn palette. Join me as I go from blank page to finished layout using a variety of collage, mixed media, and ink techniques. My altered book pages tend to be planned to every last detail but my art journal pages such as this one are spontaneous, loose, easy, and the page is allowing to emerge layer by layer. Being able to create pages without planning is a great creative boost. Whatever is learned then can then be applied to altered books and other mixed media work.
