Pudina Rice in Tamil is a flavorful variety rice recipe. Instead of having boring white rice for lunch you can have this refreshing pudina sadam. This pudina rice can be prepared in less than 10 minutes, the pudina paste can be prepared while the rice is boiling to expedite the cooking process. I prepared this mint rice by harvesting fresh mint leaves from my garden and since the pudina leaves already have plenty of aroma and flavor we don't have to add the traditional Tamil Nadu Spices. I just added a few green chillies and tamarind made a paste out of it. This paste can be used to create our Pudina Rice. Enjoy this variety rice with vadakam or appalam.
Ingredients:
2 Cup Cooked Rice(Basmati Rice)
2 cup Mint Leaves
1 small ball of tamarind
2" Ginger
2 Green Chilies
1 Tbsp Oil
1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 tsp Urad Dal (Skinless Black gram)
2 Dry Red Chilies
15-20 Cashew nuts
Salt to taste
