Recorded at Juilliard School, New York City, 1998. Robert White, tenor, was born into a New York family that enjoys a strong tradition of song. He studied at the Juilliard School, earning a Master's Degree in voice. Mr White has sung at major music festivals, including New York's Mostly Mozart, as well as the Aspen, Edinburgh, Prague, Hong Kong and Spoleto Festivals. In the 1980s Mr. White attracted a large concert public in Britain and Ireland. Robert White has recorded more than a dozen solo albums. In addition to his busy performing schedule, he is a member of the Voice Faculty of the Juilliard School.
One of today's leading interpreters of early 20th Century popular music, Peter Mintun has had long engagements at San Francisco's L'Etoile in the Huntington Hotel, Masons in The Fairmont, and in New York at the Madison Room of The New York Palace, and Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle. In 1998, Mintun participated in the Gershwin Centennial symposium at The Library of Congress. He was seen in the Michael Feinstein & Friends series at Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall. Mintun has appeared in concert at New York's Film Forum, Town Hall, the National Arts Club, Museum of The City of New York, Museum of Modern Art, and Feinstein's at Loews Regency. He is the author of articles and arrangements for Steinway & Sons' Piano Stylings of the Great Standards and Dover Publications. His piano is currently heard on HBO's "Boardwalk Empire."
