My husband and I recently visited the Sky Garden (also known as the Walkie-talkie) in London! It was such an amazing spot for gorgeous views of London, especially on a clear, sunny day like we had. It's easy to get to via the London underground, just stop at the Monument station and walk towards the building that looks like a giant Walkie-talkie lol
The Sky Garden is free for everyone to visit, just so long as you book your free tickets in advanced from their website (for obvious reasons, they want to make sure they can keep track of the amount of people entering the space).
Once you've booked your tickets, be sure to download them on your phone and being you ID as they'll ask to identify the person who made the bookings.
When you're in, you'll enter a lift which will bring you up to the Sky Garden where there's a cafe bar, a fancy restaurant and also a brasserie (both very expensive and will require you to make advanced booking 😂). The cafe doesn't require bookings, just sit at any table or seating area and order via the QR code or at the bar. We had some cider and food while there and just chilled out after walking about admiring the London horizon.
They have tons of tropical plants there but nothing too outrageous compared to the Barbican or even Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. Still lovely though, especially against the London skyline.
We were there for over an hour, just chilling out but it WAS pretty crowded so we left after grabbing some photos and food.
I really enjoyed the Sky Garden in London. If you're a traveller wanting something nice and free to do, check the Sky Garden out! Awesome spot with even awesomer views.
