The first Punjab Cultural Heritage Day took place on Sunday 12 Sept 2021 in Thetford, Norfolk, to explore and celebrate Sikh heritage through the life, legacy and family of Maharajah Duleep Singh. The day started with a wreath laying ceremony to remember the fallen soldiers of Saragarhi. There were also exhibitions and tours of Ancient House Museum, stalls in the Guildhall, and talks in the Carnegie Hall.
The day was organised by Essex Cultural Diversity Project, the Anglo Punjab Heritage Society, Thetford Council and Saragarhi Sikhs, as part of the Heritage Open Days programme.
