Dr. Jennifer Fang, a fellow in the Division of Neonatal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, describes the use of telemedicine for newborn resuscitations in her article appearing in the December 2016 issue of Mayo Clinic Proceedings. The study showed that use of this technology increased access to subspecialty care, enhanced teamwork during difficult deliveries, and allowed infants to remain with their families in the care of local hospitals.
