NASA found something creepy lurking in space but what is it?! This tiny speck of light in the sky is actually called a blazar. Blazars might sound like they belong in a science fiction story, but they’re real and incredibly powerful. They are somewhat similar to quasars, which are cosmic objects that also have a gigantic black hole at their center. The blazar has a jetstream of light which points right at us on Earth making it extremely bright. Blazars are like cosmic vacuum cleaners as they suck up everything around them, which forms a ring of material. The jets they emit are about 500 trillion times brighter than the sun.
