From the Bel Canto Opera production of Rigoletto, Gilda, stabbed by Sparafucile, lies dying in her father's arms.
GILDA: I deceived you. Blame me, I am guilty. I still love him...even now as I'm dying.
RIGOLETTO: God, how could you let this beautiful angel be the victim of my righteous vendetta? Blessed angel, look up, can you see me? Can you speak to me? Your loving father.
GILDA: Let me be silent. For me, I beg you'll forgive him. Give your blessing to your daughter, O my father!
When I'm in Heaven I'll be with my mother.
There, near to God, we will pray for your soul.
RIGOLETTO: No...do not die! How can I live on without you?
If like a dove you should fly, I'll fly with you.
Do not leave me alone.
GILDA: When I'm in Heaven I'll be with my mother.
RIGOLETTO: Do not leave me!
GILDA:There, near to God, we will pray for your soul.
RIGOLETTO: Do not leave me alone.
GILDA: I will pray for your soul.
RIGOLETTO Do not die!
GILDA: We'll both pray for your soul.
RIGOLETTO: If you leave me for Heaven, I'll be on my own. Do not die! How can I remain on earth alone?
GILDA: No more. For me, please forgive him.
My father...forgive me!
When I'm in Heaven...
RIGOLETTO: Do not die!
GILDA: ...there, near to God...
RIGOLETTO: Do not leave me alone!
GLDA: I will pray for you.
RIGOLETTO: Do not die!
GILDA: We'll both pray for your....
(she dies)
RIGOLETTO: Gilda! My Gilda! I've lost her.
Ah! The curse of the father!
