At the time of recording this was the last of the SN55 MPDs to still be at Chelmsford, so it was fitting I got a video of it before it buggered off elsewhere. Used predominantly on the 13/14s, 47 and 73, this was one of four introduced to First in Southampton for their Route 16 in late 2005 before spending the rest of their working lives in Essex prior to 2019/20. 43845/7 were withdrawn whilst 43846 made its way to Ipswich and 43848 was sent to Norwich as a spare for the new Pink 10 contract. Isn’t the fastest run I’ve had in the world, nor was this one anything spectacular - but a part of my childhood that’s moved on. Hope you enjoy!
