Alvaro is under the effect of a strong dose of anesthesia which has sent him into an inner journey into his unconscious. In this state, Alvaro begins to have incoherent visions that transform into mystical revelations that leads him into ancient sites full of mysticism, spirituality and perfect waves.

Eyes Wide Open " Surfing Temples " is a mystical surfing film featuring Peruvian surfer Alvaro Malpartida and an elite group of surfers from around the world. Filmed in the most pristine and spiritual sites of Peru, Mexico, Indonesia and Chile, Alvaro finds himself immersed in a journey to find the best waves of his life. On his path, he runs into renown Big Wave and Tube Riders such as The De Col family, Gabriel Villaran, Kohl Christiansen, Oscar Moncada, Miguel Tudela, Will Dillion, Greg Long, Mark Healy,Ricardo Do Santos, Anthony Walsh and the local underground crew from each country.

Synopsis ~ "EWO" ~ Alvaro Malpartida se encuentra bajo el efecto de una fuerte dosis de anesthesia la cual lo ha mandado en un viaje interior hacia su inconsciente. En este estado Alvaro comienza a tener alucinaciones incoherentes que se convierten en revelaciones místicas que lo llevan ha encontrar lugares ancestrales llenos de misticismo y de olas perfectas.
