This was a 1000m time trial flown at Sywell Airfield during the 2016 Icarus Cup. The airfield is relatively short so it’s hard to squeeze in a take-off, 1000meter flight and safe landing all on the same runway. The cameraman was one of the team dispatched to the end of the airstrip to prevent the pilot over-running the strip and colliding with the electric fence at the airfield perimeter - hence the gap of a few seconds while the cameraman rushed over to help. The aircraft eventually came to a standstill about 20m from an electric fence. After this flight we decided to fit a wheel brake! The logger wasn't working correctly for this flight so the full set of data isn't available for this one.
