Diane Schulder Abrams is an attorney who taught the first Women and the Law course in 1969 at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and then at New York University Law School. An activist at the forefront of the fight for women’s rights in the 1970s, she has written about women’s rights and also about issues related to the Jewish community. After reading an article that she published about her grandmother in 1974, the Lubavitcher Rebbe requested that she write more about her grandmother. Diane is now completing an intergenerational memoir titled My Grandmother’s Candlesticks: Feminism and Judaism.
