We spent an entire day at Sime Darby Plantation Ecogardens. It is one of the lesser known Carey Island attractions. Entry is free but do call ahead before going. Lots of historical sites and things to learn about a Malaysian natural resource. There's the Carey Island Golf Club , a mini petting zoo, an oil palm plantation experience tour and museum.
